Ground movement, frost heave, and settling soil can cause headstones to sink, tilt, or lean dangerously over time. Our restoration team carefully excavates and resets the foundation, re-levels the stone to plumb, and re-mortars or resets base components. We document condition before and after every restoration project for your records.

A surviving spouse’s name, date, or epitaph can be added to an existing monument at any time. Our engravers match the original letterform style as closely as possible and apply paint fill to ensure the new inscription reads clearly alongside the original. We work directly on-site at the cemetery when permitted.

Utah’s harsh winters and UV-intense summers accelerate weathering in all stone types. Our penetrating sealant treatment reduces water absorption, slows biological growth, and protects against freeze-thaw spalling. Application is invisible on polished surfaces and extends the life of the stone significantly. Recommended every five to seven years.

Bronze plaques develop deep tarnish and patina over time. Our technicians use conservation-grade cleaning compounds to safely remove heavy corrosion, stabilize the metal, and restore the original contrast between the recessed and raised areas. We also repair loose or missing lettering and re-secure plaques that have lifted from their granite bases.
